This feature gives you control over the number of covers or bookings accepted from different online sources. It allows your restaurant to keep availability open on selected channels, such as your own website, while closing or limiting availability on others, such as Dish Cult. This ensures that paid for bookings are only accepted when needed to boost revenue, prevents unnecessary costs when free channels will fill your venue, and helps you target marketing spend with precision.
⚠️ Warning: This setting only applies to online channels and not internal.
Manage your online bookings by channel
Follow the steps below to add cover or booking limits to all your online channels:
Click Settings, then Manage Bookings By Channel.
Select a segment if applicable.
Click the Edit
icon next to your preferred option from the below:Online by Covers: Allows you to add a limit of covers for all your online channels.
Online by Bookings: Allows you to add a limit of bookings for all your online channels.
You have three limits options:
Daily limit: Add you limit on the text box under max per day.
Service limit: Add your limit on the text box under each service name.
Apply by days: Tick this box to diversify the limit for each day of the week.
Click Save.
Add a limit to a specific channel
You can use this feature to prevent availability on specific channels, like Dish Cult. Follow the steps below to add this restriction:
Click Settings, then Manage Bookings By Channel.
Select a segment if applicable.
Click Add Restriction.
Select the Channel and the Type from the dropdown menus.
You have three limits options:
Daily limit: Add you limit on the text box under max per day.
Service limit: Add your limit on the text box under each service name.
Apply by days: Tick this box to diversify the limit for each day of the week.
Click Save.
