Set up conversion tracking for the widget configurator using Google analytics four. Track completed bookings by monitoring visits to the confirmation page, only users who finish a booking reach this page. All tracking is managed on your website, giving you full control.
⚠️ Warning: Your custom success page won't work if you are using an Iframe, either embed your widget with the standard code or use an external widget URL.
Retrieve your measurement ID
⚠️ Important: Before you proceed ensure you have setup your Google analytics four property.
Follow the guidance below to obtain your measurement ID:
Login to your GA4 account.
Click Admin, then Data Streams.
Click your tracking stream.
Copy your measurement ID.
Enable GA4 in ResDiary
Follow the steps below to enable Google analytics four in your diary:
Click Settings, then Widget Tracking.
Select Google analytics four.
Paste your measurement ID.
Click Update.
📌 Note: While data may take up to 48 hours to appear in GA4, you can test the measurement ID integration with the following steps:
Load the website with your widget and right click to inspect the widget.
Click Sources.
Click Page.
Expand www.googletagmanager.com.
Expand the gtag folder.
Verify your measurement ID presence.
