Create targeted marketing lists for email or SMS campaigns with our customer contact section. Before starting, check your marketing opt-in preferences to ensure you’re reaching the right audience and complying with data protection rules.
⚠️ Important: You can only send SMS communications if you have signed up for the correct add-on feature on your diary.
Create your marketing list
Follow the steps below to create your marketing list:
Click Promote, then Marketing Lists.
Click Create Marketing List.
Complete these fields:
List name: Enter a name, customers will not see this.
List type: Select email or SMS.
List date: This is an optional filter.
List description: Enter a description, customers will not see this.
Venue level opt-in: Select what you've enabled on your privacy settings.
Filters: You can add filters to your list.
⚠️ Warning: Select include customers that don't comply with EU general data protection regulations, GDPR, to decide to continue marketing to customers who opted into marketing before the EU and UK GDPR legislation came into effect. As the data controller of this data, it is your organisation’s responsibility to ensure that you only market to customers where their data was obtained and remains in compliance with your local data protection legislation and where you have the records to evidence it. Penalties for marketing to customers where you cannot evidence when they opted in to your marketing can result in a regulatory fine of up to 4% of your turnover. Consult the commisioner's office website for further information, but we recommend you clear this with legal counsel before using.
Click Update to finalise.
Manage your marketing list
Once you have created your marketing list you have a few options:
Click the Edit
icon to amend your marketing list details.Click the Cancel
icon to delete your marketing list.Click the Export
icon to download your marketing list.Create your marketing campaign.
⚠️ Important: Marketing lists do not update automatically, ensure you always create a new list before sending a new marketing campaign.
