ResDiary’s event manager helps venues manage event enquiries more efficiently, whether submitted online or created internally. It streamlines communication with branded emails, automates confirmations, and alerts your team to new requests. You can also link enquiries to payments and pre-orders, and generate printable event sheets for smooth event delivery.
⚠️ Warning: Ensure you have signed up for the event manager add-on before moving forward. Once it has been added to your subscription it appears on the top left of your diary on the event enquiry
icon.

Create your new event enquiry
Follow the steps below to create your new event:
From the diary main page click the Event Enquiry
icon on the top left.Click Create New Event.
Search your customer from the list or click New Customer, if there's no record.
Add all your customer details and click Register Customer.
Complete the following fields:
Venue: Diary for your event.
Date: Date of the event.
Time: Select the time range.
Guests: Number of covers.
Select an area from the list.
Select your event type from the list.
Enter an event value or comments if any.
You have two options:
Create Event: click this to add the request on your list.
Check Availability: click this to create booking for this event.
Manage your event list
Manage your event enquiry list by watching the video below or follow the steps below:
From the diary main page click the Event Enquiry
icon on the top left.Customise your view from the right menu:
Select which venues you want to see.
Click Add filter, then select an option to personalise the results.
Click Edit columns and their order to organise your columns.
Click Save view to save the options and quickly access them in the future.
Click Run Report to obtain your list.
Once you have obtained your list you can:
Change the status of the enquiry by clicking on it.
Change who is the enquiry assigned to by hovering on the name.
Click Print to print out your list.
Manage your event details
Event details are divided in two sections: customer details and activity details.
Customer details contain all the information about the customer's event enquiry, their profile details and booking details if you already created one. Activity details contains a summary of all the action you've applied to their event.

Create a booking from your event details
Follow the steps below to create a new booking for your event enquiry:
From the diary main page click the Event Enquiry
icon on the top left.Click your event to edit it.
Send initial enquiry email to send a summary of the event to your customer.
Click Check Availability.
Find availability for this booking, then complete as normal.
Edit or delete a booking from your event details
Follow the steps below to edit or delete a booking for your event enquiry:
From the diary main page click the Event Enquiry
icon on the top left.Click your event to edit it.
You have a few options:
Click Edit Booking then update the booking.
Click Cancel Booking to delete it.
Click Send confirmation to resend the booking confirmation email.
Click Replace customer to change all the customer details.
Manage additional features on your event details
Follow the steps below to manage additional features for your event enquiry:
From the diary main page click the Event Enquiry
icon on the top left.Click your event to edit it.
You have a few options:
Generate a custom event details pdf.
Update your event type or value from additional details.#
If you have a booking, add costs and payments.
Add pre-orders to your booking.
Click Add section to upload files on your enquiry.
