Set your two-factor authentication

Enable two-factor authentication login with Access Identity.

After you have migrated your ResDiary login to Access, you can manage you account and add additional steps to make your account even more secure. Add two-factor authentication, 2FA, on your account to enhance security by requiring a second step to verify your identity. Follow the steps to get started or watch the video.

Enable your two-factor authentication

Follow the steps below to setup two-factor authentication for your Access login:

  1. Go to your Access account settings page.

  2. Click Get Started.

  3. Select one of the following options:

    • FIDO2 or U2F: Use your fingerprint or biometric features if your device supports them.

    • Text: Enter your phone number to receive a code via SMS.

    • Authenticator app: Use an authentication app on your mobile device.


Set FIDO2 or U2F authenticator

Follow the steps below to complete the two-factor authentication setup with FIDO2 or U2F:

  1. Go to your Access settings page.

  2. Click Add authenticator under FIDO2 authenticators.

  3. Follow on-screen instructions to enter your pc pin or fingerprint.


Set text authentication

Follow the steps below to complete the two-factor authentication setup by text:

  1. Go to your Access settings page.

  2. Click Add authenticator under text message.

  3. Click Add mobile phone.

  4. Enter your phone number.

  5. Click Send Code and wait a few seconds for the code to arrive.

  6. Enter the code you've received.

  7. Click Verify.

  8. Save your backup codes in a secure location.

  9. Check the box for I understand the use of backup codes.

  10. Click Enable two-factor authentication.

Set your authentication app

Follow the steps below to complete the two-factor authentication setup by authentication app:

  1. Download one of the following authentication apps:

  2. Go to your Access settings page.

  3. Click Add authenticator under authenticator app.

  4. Enter the code generated by the app.

  5. Click Verify.
