Close outs in ResDiary give you full control over when and where reservations can be made. This feature allows you to block availability for specific days, times, services, areas, or even individual tables and time slots. Whether you're managing a private event, adjusting for staff shortages, or simply pacing your service, Close outs help ensure your booking flow aligns with your operational needs.

Restrict bookings activity for a day
Use close outs to block bookings on a specific day by restricting access to selected areas, services, tables, or time slots.
Close out areas and services
Follow the steps below to close out areas and services for one date:
Click the calendar date.
Click the Close out
icon.Complete one of the actions below:
Close an area ticking the box next to its name.
Close a service ticking the box beside its name.
Add a reason on the text field.
Click Save Changes.
Close out an individual table
Follow the steps below to close out an individual table for a day:
Click the calendar date.
Click the Close out
icon.Click Close Individual tables or time slots.
Click the square in relation to the table under the interval of time you want this to begin.
Select one of the following options:
Service: Close the till the end of the service.
Day: Close the table till the end of the day.
Booking duration: Close the table for a standard booking duration.
Specific time: Close the table until a specific time of your choice.
Click Create Close Out.
Click the X beside return to the normal diary at the top of your screen to save.
Close out individual time slots
Follow the steps below to close out individual time slots for a day:
Click the calendar date.
Click the Close out
icon.Click Close Individual tables or time slots.
Click the tick box under each time slot you wish to close.
Click the X beside return to the normal diary at the top of your screen to save.
β οΈ Important: Bookings that begin before the closeout can still overlap with the closed time.
