Access Booking Engine+ lets guests search availability, select a room and rate, add extras, and complete payment, all within your hotel's own website. With the ResDiary integration, guests can also reserve a table at your restaurant as part of the same booking journey, rather than booking separately.
This means:
Guests get a smoother, more complete booking experience.
Your restaurant captures covers it might otherwise miss.
The room and the table are confirmed together.
Guest booking experience
A table-booking section appears on the guest page during the booking flow. From there, guests can:
Choose a restaurant, party size, date, time and area.
Select any available promotions.
Add special requests.
Book more than one table in the same journey using the cart.
Add, edit or remove chosen time slots in the Your Selections view.
Once added, the table booking appears consistently throughout the journey:
In the booking summary on the guest details page.
On the finish or confirmation page.
In the confirmation email.
Guests see one clear, combined confirmation for their room and their table.
The screenshots below visually describe the customer journey:
Channel management and availability
All table bookings created through Access Booking Engine+ come through to ResDiary tagged under a dedicated channel called Access BE+. This is separate from your other channels, such as your website widget or Reserve with Google, so you can identify and manage these bookings distinctly.
đ Note: Confirmed table bookings are automatically included in your Insights reporting, along with details such as restaurant, party size, area and any promotion used.
As it relies on your online availability in ResDiary, any rules or restrictions set up for online bookings will also apply here, including:
Close outs: If a service or time slot is closed out, restricted, or fully booked online, it will also be unavailable through Access Booking Engine+.
Channel restrictions: Control how many covers are available on the Access BE+ channel.
Promotions: If you'd like a promotion to be available through Booking Engine+, it needs to be linked to the Access BE+ channel in your promotion settings.
đ¤ Tip: If availability looks different in Access Booking Engine+ than you expect, check your online booking restrictions, close outs and channel restrictions first, as these are the most common causes.
