Create your menu for pre-orders

You can create custom menus using our pre-order feature.

Use our pre-orders function to setup as many menus as you need from standard Γ  la carte to set menus with multiple course prices. Before moving forward ensure you've already setup your dietary markers and cooking modifiers for your menu items.

⚠️ Warning: Ensure you have signed up for the pre-order add-on before moving forward. Once it has been added to your subscription it appears on the diary by clicking on Settings, then Pre-orders.

Create your menu

Before you are able to create your menu, you'll be asked to create your category where you can list your different menus. For example, you can have lunch, dinner, seasonal menus and so on. Follow the steps below to create your menu:

  1. Click Settings, then Menus.

  2. Click Add new category.

  3. Add the category name, then click Enter.

  4. Click Create Menu.

  5. Complete the following fields:

    • Name: Add your menu name.

    • Category: Select your category from the list.

    • Cut off: Refers to the number of hours before the booking time where pre-orders stop being active.

    • Guest name: Select if the guest name is required on this menu

  6. Click Create New Menu.


Customise your menu

Follow the steps below to personalise your menu details:

  1. Click Settings, then Menus.

  2. Click the Edit icon next to your menu.

  3. Click the Setting icon and choose one of the following:

    • Normal: This is the classic Γ  la carte menu.

    • Set menu: A single price menu with multiple choice options.

    • Set menu fixed price: A multi-course menu with varying price points based on the number of courses selected.

  4. Complete the following customer interfaced fields:

    • Name: Add your menu name, this is required.

    • Description: Add a brief description of this menu, not required.

    • Logo: Add an image of your dishes or vene logo, not required.

  5. Click Add new category.

  6. Complete the following fields:

    • Name: Reflects the groups of items, like starter, main.

    • Description: Brief description of this category.

  7. Click Add Item.

  8. Search for your menu item by typing its name.

  9. Alternatively you can complete the following fields to create a new one:

    • Name: Name of your dish.

    • Description: Brief description of the dish.

    • Price: Add a custom price if needed.

    • Select your modifier if needed.

    • Add the correct dietary markers.

  10. Click Add Item.

  11. Click Save to finalise.

πŸ“Œ Note: If you've selected a set menu option, then you won't be able to have a custom price per item, but only for the additional extras and the surcharge price.


Manage your existing menus

Follow the steps below to manage your menu:

  1. Click Settings, then Menus.

  2. Click the Edit icon to amend your menu details.

  3. Click the Eye icon to preview how your customer will see it.

  4. If you have a group of diaries, click the Share icon to group share it across.

  5. Click the Setting icon to change the menu category and settings.

  6. Click the Copy icon to create a copy of your menu.

⚠️ Important: When you edit a menu, the changes will not appear on existing pre-orders.


Set your pre-order preferences

Follow the steps below to set your pre-order general settings:

  1. Click Settings, then Pre-Order Preferences.

  2. Add your number of days or hours on the number field to set your cut-off time.

  3. Select if the guest name is required by default.

  4. Click Save.

πŸ“Œ Note: Your menu settings override the generic preferences, the cut-off time is set to zero by default.

Once you've created your menu and set your preferences you can send your pre-order menu to your customers.
