Consumer API
Powers bespoke restaurant discovery, search, and booking experiences. This is the API behind the ResDiary widget and similar booking tools, allowing you to build custom booking journeys for your customers.
Available functions include, but are not limited to:
Search available dates.
Search availability for a specific day.
Create reservations.
Take payment for a reservation.
Cancel a reservation.
Update a reservation details like date, time and covers.
Find all bookings for a customer profile.
Data Extract API
Extracts customer and booking data into an external database for advanced reporting and marketing activities. This works by carrying out an initial import of past data, then calling the API daily to pick up new bookings, profiles, and any changes.
Available functions include:
Get bookings created on a specific date.
Obtain booking changes made on a specific date.
Get customer profiles.
Retrieve customer profile changes.
EPOS API
Built for electronic point of sale, known as EPOS, partners to build a bi-directional integration with ResDiary, helping your restaurant operations teams manage seating, customer service, and record customer spend.
Available functions include:
Get bookings for the current date.
Update arrival and meal statuses.
Add walk-ins to ResDiary.
Record spend against a booking.
Record an itemised check against a customer profile.
Webhooks
Allows an external system to receive automated messages when a specific event occurs in the diary. This can be used to collect your bookings or customer data in real time, or to trigger actions in another system; for example, updating a POS system when a seat is booked in ResDiary.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
Booking created or cancelled.
Reservation date or time change.
Booking covers updated.
Customer profile created.
Customer profile marketing preferences updated.
