Learn about Bloomreach with ResDiary

Find out how Bloomreach works with ResDiary to sync reservation activity and power personalised marketing journeys.

Written by Fabio Fois

Bloomreach engagement is a CRM and marketing automation platform that helps hospitality businesses deliver personalised campaigns across email, SMS, web, and more. Through its integration with ResDiary, booking events, consent updates, and customer profile changes are sent to Bloomreach in real time using webhooks, allowing you to automate marketing journeys based on live reservation activity.

Customer data attributes

The customer chooses which data attributes to include in their Bloomreach setup. While every implementation can differ, the following core fields are typically included:

Customer

  • First name.

  • Surname.

  • Mobile number.

  • Email address.

  • Birthday.

  • Marketing consent.

Booking

  • Restaurant name.

  • Visit date and time.

  • Booking date and time.

  • Party size.

  • Promotion name and ID.

  • Booking channel.

  • Booking status.

  • Deposit paid.

📌 Note: When a profile already exists in Bloomreach, events are mapped to it using email_id, hard ID, lowercase and trimmed, and phone_id, soft ID. These must be mapped during setup.

Known Limitations

The integration does not import any historical booking data during onboarding. Only customer profiles and bookings created after the webhook is enabled are ingested into Bloomreach. If you require historical bookings, you must download the data from ResDiary and provide the file to Bloomreach to import.

Configuration and setup

Setting up the Bloomreach's ResDiary integration requires action from both you and our support team. To get started, complete the ResDiary add-on request form and our team will be in touch to begin activation.

Once your request has been received, setup follows these steps:

  1. Our support team creates an API user. This API username is required to log in to the ResDiary API portal, where the Bloomreach webhook URL will be registered and webhooks are enabled.

  2. Once the API username is received, you complete the Bloomreach portion of the setup and generate the webhook URL required for the ResDiary integration.

  3. You register the webhook URL and enable webhooks in the ResDiary API Portal.

⚠️ Important: The webhook URL must be kept confidential, for support with this integration, contact our support team for ResDiary queries, or refer to the Bloomreach ResDiary integration documentation for Bloomreach specific guidance.
