Manage your reasons for booking

You can create and edit your reasons for booking.

You can use reasons for booking to capture why customers are visiting your venue. This feature helps you monitor booking trends and generate more detailed reports. A default list is included in your diary, which can be disabled if needed.

⚠️ Important: You can add these reasons for internal bookings only as online bookings do not support this feature.

Add your new reason for booking

Follow the steps below to create your custom reason for booking:

  1. Click Settings, then Reasons for Booking.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Add the reason name on the text field.

  4. Click the Check icon to save.


Disable or delete your existing reason for booking

Follow the steps below to disable your existing reason for booking:

  1. Click Settings, then Reasons for Booking.

  2. Click the green toggle next to the reason if you want to disable it.

  3. Click the Bin icon if you want to delete it.


Add your booking reason to your reservation

Follow the steps below to add your booking reason to your reservation:

  1. From the diary main page, click Book.

  2. Locate Reason for booking from the left window below the availability search.

  3. Select your reason for this booking.

  4. Complete your booking as normal.


Create a report for your booking reason

Follow the steps below to create a report for your booking reason:

  1. Click Reports, then Booking report.

  2. From the top left click Booking Details.

  3. Complete the following fields:

    • Venues: Select for what venue this report is.

    • Date Type: Select what date range you want to use

  4. Click Add filter.

  5. Filter by Reasons for Booking.

  6. Select your booking reason from the list.

  7. Click Run Report.
