Yield management is a service feature that allows you to limit the number of bookings and covers per time slot. It helps you control the flow of guests in and out of the venue while reducing strain on your team. With yield management, you can be confident that your venue reaches maximum capacity without compromising the quality of service.

⚠️ Warning: You can always override your yield management limit within ResDiary if you have a manager access.

Setup your basic yield management

Yield management allows you to block availability to a specific interval of time once a set number of covers or bookings are reached. Follow the steps below to adjust your yield management:

  1. Click Settings, then Services.

  2. Select a segment if applicable.

  3. Click the Edit icon next to your service.

  4. Click Yield Management.

  5. Select which option to use:

    • Bookings restriction: Decide your maximum allowed bookings per time slot.

    • Cover limit: Decide your maximum allowed covers per time slot.

    • Both bookings and covers: Enables both settings, the first one that reaches the mark will close the interval.

  6. Insert the correct amount under max value.

  7. Click Save.
