Customer types allow you to tag profiles with a single identifier, helping you track, segment, and market to specific groups. These tags appear on bookings and can be used to generate reports or build targeted marketing lists.
Add your new customer type
Follow the steps below to create your new customer type:
Click Settings, then Customer Types.
Click Add.
Add your customer type to the text field.
Click Add.
📌 Note: You can drag and drop the customer types to order their appearance.
Add your customer type to your booking
Follow the steps below to add your customer type to your internal booking:
From the main page, click Book.
Select your customer type from the list on the right window.
Complete the booking as normal.
📌 Note: You can locate your customer code on your running order view.
Report on your customer type
Follow the steps below to create your report for your customer type:
Click Reports, then Customer Report.
Click Booking Details from the left hand side.
Complete the following fields:
Restaurant: Select for what venue this report is.
Report On: Select customers by type.
Dates: Select the date range.
Click Show report.
Create a marketing list by customer type
Follow the steps below to create a custom marketing list by customer type:
Click Promote, then Marketing List.
Click Create Marketing List.
Complete the following fields:
Name: Name of your list.
List type: Select if this list is for email or SMS.
Dates: Select the date range for this list.
Description: Brief description of your list.
Select your venue level.
From Filters select customer type, then click Add filter.
Select your customer type from the list.
Click Create.
