Bookings often vary in size, but you may still want to keep guests seated at their originally assigned table. Adjust the cover count directly from the grid view to maintain accurate booking figures without disrupting your diary layout. This method provides a fast way to update booking size while keeping the table unchanged. It’s especially useful during busy service periods when quick decisions are needed.
Increase the cover size on the fly
Follow the steps below to increase the cover size on your customer’s booking:
Locate the reservation.
Click the cover size
box. Select the upwards or downwards arrows.
Click the tick box.
📌 Note: If your customer’s booking is using a promotion, then those extra covers will not count towards it.
Manage what user can change cover size on the fly
Follow the steps below to limit which users can update your bookings cover size:
Click Settings, then User Management.
Click Users.
Click Setup.
Disable override table join capacity.
Click Save.
