Waitlist is designed to manage walk-ins during busy periods by intelligently allocating tables without disrupting existing reservations. Your staff can quickly add guests to the list, track their status, and notify them when a table becomes available. Your customers are notified via SMS or email, depending on your settings, and the system ensures no walk-in is overlooked by alerting your staff directly in the booking window.
β οΈ Important: You can only send SMS communications if you have signed up for the correct add-on feature on your diary.
Add your customers to waitlist
Waitlist is only available for the current day and can be located on the left window of your diary main page, click the expand
icon if you do not see it. Follow the steps below to add your walk-in to waitlist:
Open the arrival list, then click W8LIST.
Click Add New.
Select a time and number of covers.
Complete the text fields with your walk-in details.
Click Complete.
π Note: Your customers will now receive an email or SMS notification, based on your settings, to confirm they are on the waitlist.
Manage your walk-in on waitlist
Follow the steps below to manage your customers on waitlist:
Open the arrival list, then click W8LIST.
You have several options:
Click the Send
icon to notify the customer their table is ready.Click the Seat
icon to quickly assign them to a table.Click the Convert
icon to quickly change the walk-in into a reservation.Click the Edit
icon to perform one of these actions:Edit the customer details or time.
Seat booking from the right menu.
Decline the waitlist request from the right menu.
π Note: Your staff receives on screen alerts in the booking window when your waitlist is in operation to ensure your walk-ins arenβt overlooked.
Manage your waitlist notifications
Follow the steps below to manage your waitlist notifications:
Click Settings, then W8List Settings.
Select your preferred communication channel.
Click Save.
