Get started with ResDiary Plus app on iPad

ResDiary Plus is our native iPad application for restaurant managers, owners and hosts. Designed to sync directly to your ResDiary online reservation diary system this app helps the management of your restaurant services and allows you to make bookings in online or offline mode, check and edit booking and customer details, allocation of tables, update of mail statuses, view expected arrivals list and much more.

⚠️ Important: ResDiary Plus is also available for android tablets and for iOS and android mobiles.

Download ResDiary Plus on iPad

Before moving forward ensure your device is updated to the latest version and you have already created an user to access ResDiary. Follow the steps below to download your app:

  1. Open the app store.

  2. Search ResDiary Plus.

  3. Click the download button.

⚠️ Important: There is no additional charges and no paid upgrades to use our ResDiary Plus app if you have a subscription with us.


Switch diary

In case you have multiple diaries follow the steps below to switch your diary:

  1. Click the three lines icon on the top left.

  2. Click the diary name on the top.

  3. Select your venue from the list.


Change your diary view

Follow the steps below to change your diary view on ResDiary Plus:

  1. Click the three lines icon on the top left.

  2. Select one of the following options:

    • Grid view: Overview of your tables and areas for the whole day.

    • Table plan: Table visualisation focused on one time slot at the a time.

    • W8list: List of your waiting customers.


Create your reservation

Follow the steps below to create your booking from ResDiary Plus:

  1. Click the Book icon from the top right.

  2. Select a calendar date.

  3. Select the number of covers.

  4. Select the interval of time.

  5. Search for your customer or click New Guest.

  6. Enter your customer details.

  7. Click Complete.


Manage your booking from the table plan

Follow the steps below to manage your reservation from ResDiary Plus:

  1. Click the table.

  2. Click More options.

  3. Select one of the following options:

    • Click Edit to amend the booking details.

    • Click Cancel to delete the booking.

    • Click Lock to ensure this doesn't get moved.

    • Click Confirm or Unconfirm based on the customer status.

    • Click Seat Now to seat the customer if he already arrived.

    • Click End Booking if the customer has already left.

  4. From the pop-up window update the booking details.


Create your walk-in

Follow the steps below to create a walk-in booking on ResDiary Plus:

  1. Click the Walk-In icon.

  2. Select the number of covers.

  3. You have two options:

    • Click Seat Walk-in to instantly create their booking.

    • Select an area and choose the wait time to add the to the waitlist.


Manage your arrival list

Follow the steps below to manage your arrival list on ResDiary Plus:

  1. Click the arrow icon on the bottom right to open your arrival list.

  2. You have a few options:

    • Click the Table icon to open up a list of your next free tables options.

    • Click the Booking icon to open up the expected arrival list.

    • Click the Waitlist icon to open up a list of your waiting customers.


Manage your interface

Below is a list of actions your can take from your interface:

  • Click the Help icon to get a quick tutorial of basic functions.

  • Click the Share icon to link up to seven iPads via Bluetooth.

  • Click the Sync icon to force a booking resync with your ResDiary.

  • Click the area name on the top right to change the area on your table plan.

  • Click the Clock icon on the bottom left to show the time of the next three bookings on each table for the table plan view.
