To protect your customers card details and remain PCI compliant, your website must have a valid SSL certificate. If your site does not display https in the URL, you will need to obtain an SSL certificate before using the ResDiary widget on your website for payments.

Connect your Stripe account
Follow the steps below to connect your Stripe account to ResDiary:
Click Settings, then Stripe Settings.
Click the Connect with Stripe button
.Proceed on completing the online form with your business details, including account number and sort code. If you already have a Stripe account, select Sign In from the top right corner of the screen.
β οΈ Important: Due to Stripe's single platform policy, users can no longer use existing Stripe accounts that are already being used for another platform. A new Stripe account is required but you can choose to share legal entity in order to access multiple accounts under the same login.
Enable your payment settings
Follow the steps below to enable your payment settings:
Click Settings, then Payment Methods.
Click the red toggle
next to Stripe to enable it as a payment method.Click Settings, then Payment & Card Settings.
From the dropdown menu select Credit Card, then Add New.
Click Add.
Select your Stripe payment configuration
You can enable Stripe to work with your diary in two ways:
Tokenisation: Store card details from bookings and charge them in the event of no-shows or late cancellations by following this guide.
Deposit: Take a payment from your customers at the time of booking by following this guide.
β οΈ Warning: Before launching Stripe, be sure to add your terms and conditions to your diary so guests must agree to these when booking online. These should outline any venue policies you have as well as outlining to customers in what situations deposits will be returned, or when the provided card would be charged and by how much.
Go live with Stripe
When first setting up Stripe your diary will automatically be in test mode, so you can test your Stripe interface using their test cards. When you are ready to go live follow the steps below:
Click Settings, then Stripe Settings.
Tick Use Live Stripe Settings.
Click Save.
