Connect your ResDiary to Facebook and Instagram

You can take bookings directly through your Meta channels via ResDiary.

ResDiary’s integration with Facebook and Instagram allows venues to take direct bookings through their social media profiles. By adding a reserve action button to your business pages, customers can seamlessly book a table via your Dish Cult listing making the process quick, convenient, and free of commissions.

Prepare your users for the Meta integration

To activate the ResDiary’s Facebook & Instagram integration, and to take bookings via your social media business pages, you must complete all of the following set up:

⚠️ Warning: You will not be able to complete the integration if one or more of the following requirements are present.

  • Get a Facebook or Meta business suite account with at least one social network: A Facebook business page or an Instagram business page.

  • Confirm the user adding the button is an admin of the Facebook or Meta Business suite account.

  • Confirm the user is an admin of the Facebook or Instagram page.

  • Obtain a Facebook tracking pixel.

  • Obtain you have a valid and enabled listing on DishCult.

  • Your ResDiary user must have access to proceed with the integration, or it will appear greyed out, follow the steps below to enable Facebook integration on your ResDiary user permissions:

    1. Click Settings, then User Management.

    2. Click Users.

    3. Find your user and click Setup.

    4. Click Menu Items.

    5. Enable Facebook integration.

    6. Click Save.


Connect your diary directly to Facebook and Instagram

Follow the steps below to connect your diary to Meta:

  1. Click Settings, then Integrations.

  2. Click Facebook / Instagram.

  3. Click Connect with Facebook.

  4. Confirm your user account.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Select your Facebook pixel and click Continue.

  7. Review your details and click Continue.

  8. Choose your business page and click Continue.

  9. Click Next, this might take a few minutes to load.

  10. Click Done.

  11. Login back into ResDiary.

  12. Check you get a confirmation notification from the Facebook / Instagram page.

  13. Go to your Facebook or Instagram page and add a CTA button.

📌 Note: When your diner clicks on the Reserve button on your social media business page, it will lead them to your Dish Cult listing, to complete their booking. The booking channel for Facebook or Instagram will display on the booking summary. Please review which promotions and channel restrictions you want to show on your social networks.
