Ensuring your diary is sending emails correctly is essential for smooth communication with your clients. If emails aren’t being delivered, important reminders, confirmations could be missed, leading to confusion or missed reservations. By verifying your settings now, you can prevent issues before they happen and ensure your messages reach the right people on time.

πŸ“Œ Note: If your reminder and post dining emails are not sending ensure you have enabled them on your notification settings.

Update your sender email address

When you set your sender email address to be iCloud, Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, BT Internet, Outlook or Gmail, there's a high chance that your emails won't be delivered due to a DMARC policy that these companies implement. This policy redirects those emails either to the junk and spam folder of the receiver, or even to their quarantine if they have one. The premise is, that as a personal account, these mail providers do not support bulk automated emails to be sent on behalf of a third party, in this case us, ResDiary.

⚠️ Important: We highly recommend you set up a new email address using a private domain, something like [email protected]

Change your email address

Once you've obtained your custom email domain, you can now follow the steps below to update it on your diary:

  1. Click Settings, then Venue and Dish Cult Listing Details.

  2. Under contact details, scroll down to venue email address.

  3. Replace the existing email with your new email domain.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom and click Update.

πŸ“Œ Note: In case you still don't receive your email notification, you might need to configure your SPF records.
